Nineteen Days Left

……….. until school starts!! I’m so excited to fully start my journey. Until then, I thought I’d share the steps I’ve already taken.

For starters, I ordered the supplies and ingredients I’ll need to start making my cleansing bars. I found a high quality vegan soap base and some naturally derived additives that I love. The main ingredients are going to be aloe vera, green tea, and olive oil (my favorite thing to use in skincare)! If everything comes out right, the ritual bar will smell like lemongrass and sage, have a pleasant green color, and be in the shape of a coiled up snake! I can’t wait to see the end result and share it with you!

I’ve also ordered some samples of jars and dropper bottles. The jars haven’t arrived yet, but the dropper bottles came yesterday and they’re SO nice! I don’t want to use plastic if I can avoid it, so these are glass with gradient colors on the bottom and gold closures. They’re so pretty and I’m very happy with them, especially for the price! I know once I start making creams and serums, they’re going to make for some gorgeous product photos.

The logo is coming soon! I’m creating it myself without the use of AI, and it’s very detailed, so it’s taking me a bit of time to get it exactly how I want it. Serpent & Sage is my baby and the logo is also going to act as the mascot, so I’m putting a lot into her!

I just upgraded to make this website public, paid for the domain and custom email, and am writing up plans for future products and services, on top of working a full time job. I hope it shows just how much Serpent & Sage truly is a labor of love. Even though I’m just getting started, I’m incredibly optimistic and have a lot of hope for the future!
