My name is Megan, and I’m an esthetics student born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri.

Skincare is my favorite form of self care. I started using Oil of Olay on my face before bed every night when I was a teenager, and gradually moved on to the elaborate ritual I have today. I believe this is the reason people tend to not believe that I’m in my thirties. I thoroughly enjoyed every step of forming my skincare ritual, such as researching ingredients and experimenting to learn what would work for my skin. My favorite part of the process was watching videos from an esthetician on YouTube about various products and ingredients, and how they work for different skin types. I love the personalized aspect of it all, because everyone’s skin is unique and reacts to products differently.

Considering my interest in the science behind skincare, my gentle and caring nature, and my passion for helping others feel confident, a career in esthetics just makes sense for me!

I took plenty of business classes when I was in community college, loving the idea of starting my own business but not having a single clue what kind of business I wanted to start. I’m excited to finally be able to use that knowledge, along with what I’m learning at Summit Salon Academy, to make Serpent & Sage a reality!

My goals include creating the range of products that I want, passing the prestigious CIDESCO exam, and opening my own studio, all by the end of 2027. It’s a lofty goal for sure, but I thoroughly believe in myself, and I have a wonderful support system behind me!
