Better Bars Coming

After my last blog post about making the first couple of bars, and then my husband and me trying them, I made a few more to give as gifts. I gave one to my mom, one to my cousin, and one to my instructor. I’m still waiting on feedback from the last two, but my mom loved it! She said it smelled nice and left her skin feeling soft, which is exactly what I was hoping for.

I’ve also figured out the extra boost I want to add to it: squalane! I ordered a big bottle of squalane oil to use in the next batch, which I plan on giving to my classmates. I can’t wait to try it myself too! I want to get plenty of opinions and feedback, so I can make sure they’re perfect before I start accepting money for them.

Also, school is going great so far!! We are currently learning facial massages. I’ve only gotten to massage one of my classmates so far, but I’ve been practicing on my mannequin face (who I have named Sam) and trying to form my own technique. I want it to feel good and be relaxing, of course, but I also want to incorporate pressure points and lymphatic drainage like I use on myself when I do oil cleanses. I’m excited to learn more!

As always, I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who’s keeping up with my journey. I’m happy to be sharing this with you. :)
